Accessibility statement

Draft. This is a first, plain-language pass written by the Home Sublet team. It will be replaced by a legally reviewed version before launch. Nothing here is legal advice. Translation, for convenience. The Hebrew version is the binding one. This translation is for understanding only, and where the two differ the Hebrew prevails.

Our commitment

We want Home Sublet to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input or high-contrast modes. Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA.

What's already in place

  • Semantic headings, navigation landmarks (main, header, footer) and clear link text.
  • Keyboard navigation for every interactive element, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Form fields tied to labels, with error messages shown and announced next to the field.
  • System colours checked for a 4.5:1 contrast ratio on body text.

Known gaps

  • The map (Leaflet) on the search page is visual by nature. A list-only alternative exists via the list view, and we make it the default on narrow screens.
  • Some icon-only buttons are missing good aria labels. The audit is ongoing.
